How do I book flights with Trafalgar?

While flights to and from your home country are not included in our listed tour prices on the website, rest assured—our team is ready to help you find the right flights at competitive rates. Whether it’s a last-minute booking or planning for an early flight, we’re here to ensure you have seamless travel arrangements for your itinerary. Simply call our dedicated contact centre for a quote.

Can I book and just pay with a deposit?

You can either pay in full or pay a deposit. You pay in full if departure is in 60 days or less.

Deposit amount

Flight deposit amounts are £50. This is in addition to your tour deposit which is either £100 or £200 depending on the level. Please note deposits are non-refundable.

Paying the balance

If you choose to pay by deposit, you will need to pay your full balance on the date shown on your confirmation. The full balance will be due 60 days prior to departure for level 1 trips and 90 days prior to departure for level 2 trips. Learn more about our tour deposit levels.

How do I make a change to my booking?

If you'd like to make changes to your booking, please get in touch with us via phone or email. Please note: an amendment fee of £50 per passenger will be added to your booking, plus any additional fees levied by the airlines.  

How do I cancel my booking?

If you wish to cancel your booking, please get in touch with us via phone or email. Airline Failure Protection (AFP) and ATOL Protection Charge (APC) are non refundable. In cases where 100% cancellation penalty applies Airport taxes may only be partially refundable, dependant on the Airline rule. In some cases it may not be possible to offer any refund once the booking has been made. Flight amendments are subject to availability and may vary depending on the time of amendment. Taxes are variable and will be re-quoted at the time of the amendment.

Can I pre-book my seat?

If you would like to pre-book seats please contact us by phone or email. Requests to pre-book your seat are subject to the airlines' conditions. These requests cannot be guaranteed and are subject to availability and may be charged.

What is my luggage allowance?

We include one checked in piece of luggage. The weight of the luggage is dependent on the airline carrier. You will receive details of your luggage allowance with your final travel documents, which are sent approximately 10 days prior to your date of departure. Alternatively, you can call our reservation team for further details.

What is my check-in time?

For European holidays the check-in time is 2 hours before your flight, for Long Haul destinations you should allow 3 hours for check-in.

What do I need to know before booking a flight?

Travelling internationally, you'll require an active passport. Make sure you check the expiration of your passport. A lot of destinations will require a passport to be valid for six months following the date of departure. Ensure you follow the destinations guidelines before you book your flight.

When is the best time to book a flight?

If you can avoid travelling during peak times avoiding major holiday periods you're likely to get a better deal. Make sure you plan in advance.

Depending on your destination, and the demand for travel during your preferred travel date, the best flight deals can often be found two to eight months in advance, so ensure to start planning early.
