Some of our favourite lakes for a holiday in the United States are the fairytale Tenaya Lake in Yosemite National Park, Lake Ontario where you can see the giant Niagara Falls, and the water wonderland of Lake Powell where you can go swimming or boating.

Some of our favourite mountains around the world are the Rockies in Canada, the Majestic Mountain Loop in the USA, the Swiss Alps in Switzerland, the Dolomites in Italy, Table Mountain South Africa, Sugarloaf Mountain in Brazil, the mountains of Scandinavia, and the peaks of Patagonia in Chile and Argentina.
When should I visit the Alps?
The Alps stretch across seven countries including Switzerland, France, Italy, Austria, Germany, Slovenia and Liechtenstein. The best time to visit this spectacular mountain range is usually in spring, summer and autumn between April and October, for the best weather and spring wildflowers.
